Ok...complicated cup this. But let's make some assumptions that the groups will finish like this:
A1: AUS
A2: SA
B1: SL
B2: IND
C1: NZ
C2: ENG
D1: WI
D2: IRE
On this assumption England will have to play the following matches in this order:
WI v ENG - 2 points
ENG v SL - 2 points
AUS v ENG - 0 points
ENG v IND - 2 points
ENG v SA - could go either way
IRE v ENG - 2 points
Now, 2 points for a win. We could end up with 10 points, along with AUS, SA & NZ which would make a decent semi-final line up. Of course, we might only get 8 or even 6 points but could still go through. As I understand the rules, in the semi stage you can't play a team from your Group Stage so that would mean we would have to play AUS and SA v NZ would be the other match. Therefore it is likely to be a final between AUS & SA...which will be interesting.

Sorry but England will not beat Sri Lanka and I would be shocked indeed if they make it to the semis.
NZ are going to be the surprise team. I predict they make it to the final.
SL looked tired. Mind you ENG are terrible but I have a funny feeling that we might come good yet. Ireland are a real prospect. Funny if they won it! I have to say that they were great in the field yesterday.What's the betting that Woolmer is sacked before their plane touches down? Took every single chance. NZ are good. Fleming is prob the best skipper in the world. They will miss him.
Woolmer will be sacked before the plane lifts off let alone touching down. Trouble is England want to sign him.
I almost expect Pakistan to bugger off without playing their last game. It is the sort of thing they do!!
Just for the record, that last post was written before any of the news of Woolmer's ill health appeared. It looks in dreadful bad taste now, and I apologise for any offence.
On second thoughts, if I were Zimbabwe I would be dreading the next game. Pakistan, and most particularly Inzy, Khan and Yousuf, will want to make a point in honour of Woolers and personal pride. An angry Inzy with a bat is probably worth avoiding!!
